Podcast 7: The One with all the Enabling

You guys! Thank you so much for sticking with me and being here.

I didn’t have any finished projects to talk about, but I am LOVING my test knit for the Sorrento Shawl by Fairy Little. It is easily the best shawl knit I’ve ever done. I dyed up 3 colors especially for it, and am thinking of selling a kit once the pattern is released. You should definitely get the pattern, if not the yarn!

Other than that, it was a couple sock HOs and LOTS of new knitting books. Refined Knits is pure magic and I think you could tell from the podcast that I was completely head over heels for Laine issue 1.

I also got Making issues 1, 2, and 3, Hannah Fettig’s most recent book “Texture,” and I’m waiting on my subscription to PomPom. Can’t wait for that!

The shop has been a little slow - summer is approaching, I totally understand knitting taking a back seat, but I’ve been hard at work on new yarn blanks. I need to think of something to call them. Just “blanks”? or …I don’t know. “sock blank” is so boring, and really implies that they can ONLY be used for socks which is categorically untrue. I’m a complete blank convert. I had never tried knitting with them before and now I can’t get enough! The little kink in the yarn doesn’t bother me, especially because I’ve frogged so many things in my day that I’m fairly used to working with kink’d yarn.

Anyhoo, thank you again for joining me! I’ll try not to be gone so long next time!

Until then…happy crafting!
